As a teacher I wanted to give assignments to my students, but (IMHO) the available simulators were not intuitive enough. We worked out the first version of this simulator with José Antonio Matte, an engineering student at PUC Chile. The simulator was functional but a bit unstable, so I created this second version. Please let me know if the simulator is being used in new institutions. If you find any bugs or have comments feel free to contact me.

Xbox 360 Roms — Highly Compressed [new]

Why are they so big? The original discs contain a lot of redundant or "padding" data. This was intentionally added to improve disc-read performance and ensure the physical media was filled correctly. When you make a full ISO copy of a game disc, you're copying all of this padding along with the actual game data. This means a full ISO file is much larger than the actual game content inside it.

Some untrustworthy repackers will strip out full-motion video (FMVs), compress the audio tracks into low-quality formats, or delete multiplayer assets to make the file incredibly small. Avoid these, as they often break game emulation entirely. Formats Explained: ISO vs. XEX vs. GOD

Specialized scene tools can strip away the useless dummy data and system updates embedded in the original retail disc image. For example, a game like Limbo or Peggle might technically take up a full 7.3 GB ISO structure on a retail disc, but the actual game data might only be 200 MB. Trimming removes the fluff, drastically shrinking the file size without losing any game quality. 2. Advanced Archiving Algorithms

However, Xbox 360 games are notoriously large. A standard standard Xbox 360 game disc holds anywhere from 7.3 GB (XGD2) to 8.3 GB (XGD3) of data. Downloading dozens of these files can quickly destroy your internet data cap and fill up your hard drive.
